eNumeracy K and 1 Screening Inventories
The eNumeracy ENSI Screening Inventories have gone through extensive development and testing, and are available in Kindergarten and First Grade kits. Not only are the ENSI screeners well-developed, they are highly useful for screening and educational diagnosis.
KEY FEATURES
-Both screening inventories take less than 5 minutes per child and yield an extensive amount of information for teachers.
-The ENSI-KSI features 12 items, set up around 5 "big ideas" of early numeracy: equal partitioning, relative size, subitizing, ordinality, and cardinality. Below are .pdf files of the examiner sheets, which will show you how we are briefly assessing these areas.
-The ENSI-FGSI features 12 items, set up around 5 "big ideas" of early numeracy: grouping with 5s, ordinality, subitizing, decomposition of number, and verbal addition. Below are .pdf files of the examiner sheets, which will show you how we are briefly assessing these areas.
-Both screeners fit an RtI framework, and can be used 3 times per year to monitor rate of improvement for school planning and to target what skills need further assessment and monitoring.
-The screeners can both be used off grade level for children up to 10 years old who may still struggle with early numeric concepts.
-The ENSI inventories can augment the use of AIMSweb® Tests of Early Numeracy (TEN) because the ENSI inventories are lower-order concepts. Many children begin the year unable to do many of the TEN skills, but with the ENSI inventories, children have more success.
COST
The inventories will cost you only what the materials cost. eNumeracy is not a for-profit company, and although we would like to share these materials for free, the tests must be used in the easel format primarily because that's how they were developed.
The prices below cover an easel binder, heavy cardstock color copies, packaging and mailing (regular mail), and printing of the scoring protocols and user's guide. Depending upon when you need the materials, shipping may be additional.
